"Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus"

2023 Speaker:

Donna-Jean Breckenridge

Throughout her life, Donna-Jean has sought to follow Christ. Her background is in church ministry, where she served alongside her pastor-father in various capacities. She also focused on educational philosophy. She homeschooled all four of her children and now homeschools some of her grandchildren, and she is one of the Advisory members and founding creators of the AmblesideOnline curriculum.

After being married for 39 years, Donna-Jean became a widow in 2020. She and her family live in a four-generation household in northern New Jersey. Her family and extended family includes children born to her, children who were adopted in the States and internationally, and children adopted from the foster care system. Each of her children and grandchildren is a miracle from God.

Donna-Jean is known for the gift of encouragement in her speaking and for bringing women to see their strength and joy in the Lord, especially in hard times.

Conference Location

This year we are excited to continue partnering with The Hideaway.  The Hideaway is a beautiful venue located in the woods in The Black Forest.

Choosing The Hideaway continues to ensure that that retreat costs will be kept as affordable as possible.

Relax and Connect

To allow for as much fellowship and relaxation time as possible, our 2023 retreat will continue the 2-night format of past retreats.

We are also making sure to build in chunks of free time in the schedule to allow for time with the Lord, connect with other women, explore the Hideaway’s amenities, or whatever will best fill your spirit and bring you joy!

This year we will offer free massages, have s'mores around a firepit, enjoy a free coffee bar, and more!

Breakout Sessions and Q&A

Once again, based upon your feedback, we are continuing to offer breakout sessions and live Q&A.

This year we are so excited to have two breakout session options! Paula Freeman is coming back to talk to us about God's love and spiritual disciplines; and Rebecca Zip is joining us for the first time to talk about cultivating ourselves as mothers. See the schedule for more details.

Our Q&A panel this year is also very exciting.  We have several young adults who will answer your questions about growing up with foster and adopted siblings.
